In the research and dissemination world concerning Industrial Symbiosis, the value of the Hubs4Circularity work at the European level is valuable.
Hubs4Circularity is a network promoting Industrial Symbiosis resource efficiency. The hub connects industries, cities, and research centers to create a circular economy. By closing energy, resource, and data loops, Hubs4Circularity fosters industrial symbiosis (companies sharing resources) and industrial-urban symbiosis (cities and industries collaborating).
This innovative approach is key to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
The Hubs4Circularity Community of Practice recently held a successful webinar titled “Investment in Large Industrial Urban Symbiosis Infrastructures.” The event featured Per Møller, a Symbiosis facilitator and developer from Kalundborg Symbiosis, a leading example of industrial symbiosis in action.
The webinar fostered a lively discussion among participants, delving into the practicalities of establishing and maintaining large-scale symbiosis infrastructure.
