The INSET project was proudly presented at the 6th Symposium on Circular Economy and Sustainability, held in Alexandroupolis, Greece, bringing together experts, academics and practitioners committed to advancing sustainable development and green transitions.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase INSET’s goals, methodology and outcomes, especially its focus on building green and soft skills for the workforce of the future.
During the presentation, Almudena Muñoz from CETEM, one of the partners of the project Consortium, introduced the project’s training framework, which includes a multi-level curriculum tailored to equip individuals with the skills needed for implementing Industrial Symbiosis.
The presentation highlighted the modular structure of the training with two training paths: Industrial Symbiosis manager and Industrial Symbiosis planner.
Special attention was given to the project’s transnational collaboration, which brings together educational institutions, research centres and industry stakeholders from across Europe.
Participants at the symposium expressed interest in how the INSET model could be replicated in different regions and how its outcomes align with broader EU strategies on green skills and lifelong learning.
The symposium served as an inspiring platform for dialogue, enabling the INSET project to connect with other ongoing initiatives and to foster new potential partnerships.
Sharing the project’s vision in such a dynamic and relevant forum marks another key step toward promoting education and training as a cornerstone for sustainable change.
