Syxis, VšĮ brings Industrial Symbiosis to life at KTU! On Oct 22, a hands-on workshop will empower students and researchers with real tools and case studies to turn circular economy principles into action.

As part of its ongoing commitment to promote Industrial Symbiosis as a practical and scalable strategy within the Circular Economy, Syxis, VšĮ is leading a dedicated workshop event at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) on October 22nd, 2025.

This hands-on initiative is not only a follow-up to the INSET Erasmus+ project activities but also a crucial moment in fostering dialogue between academia, students, and innovation professionals on how to turn circular principles into action.

Syxis, VšĮ is more than a project facilitator. it is a European innovation hub based in Vilnius, dedicated to advancing sustainable, digital, and collaborative solutions across diverse sectors. From construction and manufacturing to urban communities and the textile industry, Syxis, VšĮ focuses on enabling cross-sectoral value chains grounded in the principles of the circular economy.

The organisation actively connects SMEs, academia, and public institutions to promote co-creation and applied research. Following the early announcements in previous project articles, Syxis, VšĮ is now officially confirming that the workshop will take place at KTU, a recognized leader in technological research and innovation in the Baltic region.

The event is primarily targeted at students interested in sustainability, innovation, and EU projects, but is also open to professors and researchers of Institute of Environmental Engineering (APINI) at KTU, who wish to explore how Industrial Symbiosis can support interdisciplinary research, applied innovation, and new educational paths.

The workshop aims to raise awareness about Industrial Symbiosis and the INSET project, offer practical knowledge through real-world case studies and tools, and strengthen cooperation between Syxis, VšĮ and the Institute of Environmental Engineering (APINI) at KTU as strategic partners.
