Syxis is a Lithuanian company that believes in the sustainable transformation of industrial processes as the key to a new and aware future. As a digital sustainable company, we connect SMEs, organizations, and research centers across Europe to foster innovation. Syxis supports and establishes new relationships among companies operating in the field of funded research and innovation, assisting them in methods, operations, and technologies, enabling them to embrace and develop new strategies based on themes such as digitalization, circular economy, and networking.

We put together the competences generated in two organizations: Holonix and Cyber Brain.

Holonix is a small Italian company that specializes in technologies such as IoT, Augmented Intelligence and Big Data. Its products are the result of years of study, fieldwork and participation in research and development projects in Europe, where it developed and improved its skills in the technological, digital and circular fields, bringing in this way new innovative solutions to the market.

Cyber Brain is a European IP holding company that develops, patents, and introduces innovative ideas to the market. It specializes in IoT, AI, and Analytics technologies related to Product/Service Lifecycle, Sustainability, and circular economy, holding rights to several products and patents.

From the collaboration of these two companies, Syxis focuses on three key areas: Circular Economy Ecosystem (all its activities aim to provide sustainable solutions for the future of the environment, the economy and the people), Digital Solutions (Syxis creates technological platforms based on the power and importance of data), and Network Awareness (Syxis promotes relationships and collaboration among entities within the same ecosystem, encouraging the co-creation model as a new business strategy).

We cooperate with other organizations with our knowledge and skills in technologies and funded research-innovation projects. We draft proposals for EU projects, participate in EU projects with different roles, develop IT solutions, and contribute to networks and communities. This is how we contribute to spreading the culture of the circular economy and enable also other companies to innovate and become part of an increasingly dynamic network, driven by the desire to become circular.

RDA Podravje – Maribor, was the first such agency established in Slovenia (est. 1993). It is the key generator of development in Podravje region consisting of 41 municipalities. Due to the very important function it performs, it is crucial that it represents the best service to the municipalities in the field of regional development, project support, absorption of European funds, networking, attracting investors, tourism development, smart specialisation and support to the business environment.

The Regional Development Agency for the Podravje Region – Maribor is part of the KPD – Creative Park Drava. The entire KPD building was built around 1885 and has, in addition to the central wing, four other wings which are connected to the southern part of the central wing.

The KDP represents a regional hub for entrepreneurship, technology and creative industries, with a close involvement of the digitisation of the region and entrepreneurship training. By showcasing key regional projects and themes, the Creative Park will promote the development of the region and the role of knowledge in the social and economic environment. By focusing on interdisciplinarity, networking between regional institutions and cooperation, the Creative Park will integrate knowledge, technologies and competences in priority areas, foster the development of innovation, provide support to companies to develop, test and demonstrate innovations, and thus build a supportive environment for the commercialisation of the solutions developed.

Research, development and innovation

The RDI sector aims to foster technological development and technology transfer through international cooperation, as well as green transition. We carry out tasks in the framework of the Digital Information Hub and Smart Specialisation, as well as circular economy, which provides a platform for focusing development investments on areas where Podravje has a critical mass of knowledge, capacity and competences, as well as innovation potential for positioning itself in global markets. The focus is on the development of smart cities, the circular bioeconomy and Industry 4.0. Since 2022 RDA also features a research team.

Technical Assistance to Public Administration:

The Technological Centre of Furniture and Wood of the Region of Murcia (CETEM) is a private and non-profit association based in the municipality of Yecla, where one of the most important furniture clusters in Spain is concentrated. The origin of CETEM dates to 1994 thanks to the initiative of private companies with the initial support of the regional government, the Spanish Ministry of Industry and the European Union.

CETEM is formed by 42 professionals with different backgrounds such as engineering, technology transfer, business administration, chemistry, psychology, teaching, journalism, industrial design, etc.

Its creation in 1994 was promoted by the Institute Building of the Region of Murcia (INFO), the Regional Association of Employers of Wood (AREMA), the Technological Institute of Furniture (AIDIMA), the City Hall of Yecla, the Office of Industry and Tourism, the Ministry of Industry and Energy and the European Community.

CETEM is recognised as a Technology and Innovation Centre (CIT number 83) and as a Technology transfer office (TTO number 165).

CETEM mission is oriented to improve, favour, foster the continuous improvement and transfer any type of innovation to companies, primarily SMEs, while actively contributing to their socioeconomic development through consultancy services, R&D activities, and the organisation of training programmes tailored to the needs of the industry.
